भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों में कोली/कोरी(Koli in various states of India)

उत्तरप्रदेश:

उत्तरप्रदेश में सोसाइटी को बारह एंडोगामस उपसमूहों में बांटा गया है, जैसे कि अहरवार, बनबटा, धीमान, हल्दीहा, जैसवार, कबीर पंथी, कैथिया, कमलवंशी, कमरिया, महाुरे, साक्यार और शंखवार और ये उपसमूह एक दूसरे के संबंध में समान स्थिति के हैं। इनमें से प्रत्येक उपसमूह को एक्जोटामस गोत्र में विभाजित किया गया है जैसे कि चाचोंडिया, काशमोर, खिरवार, कोठारिया, आदि।

समाज की भाषा और बोलियों:

Uttar Pradesh:

 Societies in Uttar Pradesh are divided into twelve endogamous subgroups namely Aharwar, Banbata, Dhiman, Haldiha, Jaiswar, Kabir Panthi, Kaithia, Kamalavanshi, Kamariya, Mahaure, Sakyaar and Shankhwar and these subgroups are of similar status with respect to each other.  .  Each of these subgroups is further divided into exotamas gotras such as Chachondia, Kashmore, Khirwar, Kothariya, etc.


 Madhya Pradesh:

 In Madhya Pradesh, kori are distributed in the districts of Indore, Khargone, Khandwa, Dhar and Ujjan.  In Maharashtra, the Koris believe that they are descendants of Maharishi Kashyap.  According to another version, the ancestors of Kori were born from the union of Kabir with a Brahmin girl.  It is believed that they migrated from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh to their present place of residence.  Distribution of society in Bhandara, Nagpur and Amrawat districts.


 Orissa :

 In Orissa, Kori is also called Koli, Koli and Kuli Malhar and is distributed throughout the state but their major concentration is in Mayurbhanj district.  These are further divided into different non-hierarchical gotras, such as Bagha, Chowla, Bela, Sada, Gangalva, Nageshwar, Adi Patra, Kaur and Behera being their surnames.


 Rajasthan:

 In Rajasthan, the Kolis are a traditional weaving community who are now engaged in agriculture and other jobs for their living.  They are also known as Kori, Koriya and Bunkar in different parts of Rajasthan and are a phonetic variation of Koriya Kori.  They are concentrated in Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Bundi, Bharatpur, Karoli, Dausa, Tonk and Alwar districts.  A large number of Koli, Kori are returned from urban areas.  Kolis in Rajasthan are divided into different subgroups such as Mahavars, Sakwars, Kabirpanthi, Rathras, etc. However, Mahavars, Sakwars and others may intermarry.  These subgroups are further divided into a number of exaggerated clans such as Katanalia, Nahwan, Kajotya, Rajori, Kataria, Morwal, Godaria, Devatwal, Nepalpuria, Bharwal etc.


 Delhi:

 In Delhi, Kolis are migrants from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.  They are also known as Killi, Bunker, Tantubai, Kori, Kapre or Kapardia and Mahar Kili.  They are concentrated in Gaushala, Nandnagari, Dakshinpur, Sawan Park, Kotla, Mubarakpur, Madanagiri, Ashram, Paharganj and Sadar.


 Languages ​​and Dialects of the Society:

 The society speaks various dialects of the Indo-Aryan language, Hindi, Malvi, Nimari local languages ​​and uses the Devanagari script.  For inter-group communication also, they use Hindi and local languages.  Koli have started sending their children to schools and colleges and have made good progress in the field of education.
